Wayfair Registry
Aside from the magic of your big day as you're walking down the isle and everything is planned, done, executed and you are worry-free at last... weddings are notorious for being stressful. Almost everyone that has ever talked about wedding planning and every moment leading up to the wedding has attested to this notion. Because of this, I think that every step you can take to facilitate your wedding plans, no matter how small they are, are essential to the maintenance of your sanity.During this time, the less complicated something is, the better, and this is why we were so excited to learn that wayfair, one of our favorite home decor/improvement stores, has their own wedding registry!!! During the remodeling of our home we shopped at wayfair plenty of times and every single time was so easy & we found their registry process to be just the same.Sometimes it's difficult to find stores that have wedding registries that offer a wide selection of products from so many different categories for your home. With that said, I'm pretty sure you can find just about anything you're looking for on wayfair, so believe me when I say we are so incredibly thrilled to be able to have a single wedding registry that allows us to pick from such a broad range.Something that I also found very helpful was that wayfair registry offers a "group gifting" option, where guests can contribute a dollar amount to big-ticket items like sofas, large appliances, or home renovation needs like lighting fixtures, plumbing materials and more! This really helps people like us who bought a home before getting married and already have all of the smaller necessities.Enjoy $25 off your registry purchase of $50 or more with code WFGE25 You can visit our Wayfair registry HERE SHOP THE LOOK: Vase | Table Runner | Wood Bowl | Candle holder is vintage | Dining Table | Dining chairs Here are some of my registry picks.1. Friday Five
1. It's hard for me to find products that work for my skin because my skin is so easily irritated. This is why I am usually very hesitant to work with skincare companies or test out new skin care without doing extensive research on the products. With that said, I've sworn by Caudalie's detox mask for a while now and can truly say that it is genuinely one of the masks that makes my skin look the best the next day, so when they reached out to me to send over some products you could just imagine how excited I was about it.So far the new products I've tried from them are the followingGlycolic peel : Great for removing layer of dead skin and revealing brighter more even skin. it is also very gentle compared to other chemical exfoliants I've tried so it is perfect for sensitive skin.Beauty elixir : One of my absolute favorites so far, this stuff makes my skin so plump and hydrated, my skin really loves this stuff. I spray it on right after cleansing and to set my makeup and it seriously makes my makeup look soooo much better & makes my face feel so smooth.Vinosource moisturizing sorebet : Such a great lightweight yet very hydrating moisturizer, you can use it for both daytime and nighttime use. However, I prefer this one for daytime.Premier cru the serum: I think this is the product that has made the biggest difference in my skin in the shortest amount of time, honestly this is a little bit of magic in a bottle. I apply this at night after cleansing and my skin looks so plump and even the next morning, it also feels EXTREMELY soft.Premier cru cream: I've been applying this at night right after the serum and while it is not the heaviest moisturizer out there it sufficiently hydrates and moisturizes my skin and I think that it boosts the results of the serum.Overall, I am so happy with the way my skin has been looking since I incorporated these products into my routine and I will definitely be repurchasing some of them once I run out.
2. As most of you may know I absolutely love the Glossier You perfume so I am so excited that they came out with something so innovative and travel friendly, the solid form! I can just slip this into my purse and have it with me on the go and it is so fun to put on. It is basically a solidified balm that you rub your fingers on and can just put on your skin, surprisingly it does a very good job at transferring the scent onto your skin, just as if you were to have sprayed it on.You can receive 20% off your first glossier order by shopping with me HERE3. The TV show that has been consuming my life lately is Outlander. If you guys ever read my post on finding inspiration you would know that one of my main sources of inspiration is television, specifically shows or movies that speak to my aesthetic. I definitely recommend you give it a watch if you have not seen it, I still haven't finished it yet but so far it's a really great show and a beautiful innovative story.4. Mejuri is launching their latest "boyfriend collection" on Monday the 19th and I'm really loving how bold yet minimal this piece is. I really appreciate pieces that you can just throw on and go and you don't really have to think much about it because it makes a statement all on it's own. There is limited stock on this collection so be sure to sign up for early access HERE5. We are going to start working on our faux fireplace soon and here are some inspo pictures that have been hyping me up to get started on this project.
Colorado
As most of you may know, we purchased our first home last year & while we are very excited and grateful to have a place of our own, we did have to put all of our beloved traveling aside and focus on turning our little house into a home. We did not travel at all in 2017, I truly think it's one of the only years I didn't go on some kind of trip (first world problems, I know) and while I was happy to be home I really missed the smell of new grounds.Colorado has always been on my list of places to visit, everyone has always told me " If you really want to see snow, go to Colorado" & I am so glad I did. It really is true, I have never seen that much snow in my life, it was truly magical. Everywhere we went, it was so scenic, whether there was snow or not, the views were breathtaking. We flew to Denver and drove a couple of hours to our cabin located in Fairplay, we got to Denver very early so even though the drive was long we were able to appreciate the entire day and the drive was beautiful. Our cabin was secluded from everything and it sat in between the most stunning snow-filled woods, when it wasn't snowing, you could see the mountains from a distance through the ceiling-high windows, it was the best view to wake up to.The entrance of the cabin was a down-hill road (pictured above) which made the perfect slope for sledding. On our second day it snowed while we were on our way to Breckenridge, we were so excited we stopped the car to take pictures. ( Much more excited than I look in this picture, I promise. )
The first activity we did was snowmobiling, I didn't take any pictures while doing it because I was too busy filming with my go-pro and figuring out ways to do so without having my hands literally freeze off, so here is a picture I took of the pups ready to take people for some dog sledding before our tour started. We opted not to do dog sledding because snowmobiling was funner in our opinion and even though these dogs REALLY seemed like they loved pulling I just couldn't bring myself to have them pull me around for fun so we just pet them and they were the friendliest. The day after we did snowmobiling we did some tubing in Frisco adventure park, again, I captured most of that day on video so I didn't really take a lot of pictures, you're probably wondering why we didn't ski & we all decided that paying almost 200 dollars was just not worth it, we preferred spending our money discovering/driving to new places.Nothing like a good ol llama visit, these little guys were just up the road from our cabin so we stopped to say hi and they were seriously just the cutest.I think that one of the highlights of the trip for me was visiting Twin Lakes and walking on my first, and probably last, frozen lake. The only reason I would even do such a thing ( even though it has always been on my bucket list) is because there was a bunch of people riding their ATVs and dirt bikes all over the lake so I figured, if it can hold that kind of weight then it can hold me. I am so glad I did it, it was such an amazing experience. The views were something out of a movie, none of the pictures I took truly do the scenery any justice. After out visit to Twin Lakes, we spontaneously decided to drive 40 more miles to Aspen. We all felt like a Colorado trip wouldn't really be a Colorado trip if we didn't visit Aspen, so we jumped the gun and started driving. The trip there was STUNNING, I live for these kinds of views, I kept telling everyone to " take it all in."Again, too busy taking videos and forgot to take pictures but here is one of a bar we visited in Aspen called Hooch, we were the only people there because it was superbowl Sunday and this bar didn't have any TVs but I really liked the ambience and the beer was really good. We then decided to go to a sports bar to watch the game & it was a good time. When we left the bar it was already almost 9 pm (big mistake). The drive back to the cabin was about 3 hours and a half and I wanted to die, I had a mixture of car sickness, altitude sickness, claustrophobia & major anxiety from being in the car for so long at night while there was a blizzard outside but all in all I think the drive TO Aspen was one worth taking and we did have fun while we were there.
On our last day we woke up to so much snow fall! It was so beautiful, we really didn't want to leave, everything was so white and fluffy.Overall, I really enjoyed my trip, I had a great time with great people and I definitely recommend a visit to Colorado, especially if you have never experienced a WHITE winter, this wasn't my first time seeing snow but it was definitely the best snow experience I've had. I loved every place we visited and the scenery was amazing almost everywhere we turned.
Wrap Jumpsuit
There really is nothing like a good jumpsuit. I love pieces that you don't have to think about, pieces that you can just throw on and go.. this is why I love casual dresses and jumpsuits so much. I will say that despite loving jumpsuits, I only own a few and this is 100% my favorite one so far. I can dress it up or down and it is definitely one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing that I own. It's so flattering and the fact that it ties at the waist is always a win for me.I paired it with my beloved slip on vans and I really love how everything looks together. I kind of look like I'm ready to do karate but in the most chic way & I'm digging it. I love the wide-leg and how it has a little slits on the side at the bottom, this makes the pants move so elegantly when I'm walking.OUTFIT DETAILS: vans shoes // grana jumpsuit // sunglassesUse code GEMARYXGRANA for 10% off + free shipping on any order on Grana.com
