White On White
Defying the "no white after Labor day" rule and I'm kind of loving it. I've been really into monochromatic white outfits lately, I feel like when paired with the proper coat or layering piece you can definitely get away with wearing it during this time of year. One of the main things on my wishlist for Black Friday were re/done jeans & I finally bit the bullet and purchased their stovepipe jeans in white and I think it's the best splurge clothing purchase I've made in a while. Now I'm addicted and need them in every color.I paired the jeans with my current favorite white tee from Grana and my absolute favorite light weight flowy coat, which you guys have seen plenty of times already, from Zara. It has been a while since I wore my high top converse so I thought I'd take them out for a spin and I love how they look paired with everything.I thought a black faced watch would add a bit more contrast along with a black suede bag to bring a little more fall/winter vibes to the outfit. Power Suit Trend
Not sure if you've noticed or not but menswear-inspired fashion is very on trend right now. While I do love the trend, I'm not entirely sure it's here to stay for a long time so I decided to go into my closet and replicate the look with some of my favorite pieces. It's difficult for me to find a blazer that I absolutely love because most of them either have shoulder padding, are too boxy or fall at an awkward length for me. I prefer long lined blazers that are a bit more fitted for a more feminine look. I use to own SO many blazers and I donated every single one of them so I am pretty hesitant to spend money on one that I'm not head over heals for, until then I will have to improvise.I used one of my favorite trench coats to get the look I was going for. I love the fact that this trench isn't stiff, it's very light and flowy so I can manipulate the shape and the sleeves to get whatever look I want.I feel as though belts at the waist are VERY hit or miss but I am obsessed with the way they look cinching oversized coats or blazers, I think that despite the coat being pretty masculine, the belt at the waist brings back that femininity and elegance. This belt actually isn't meant for the waist but I love the way it looks all twisted like so, I think it adds interest.I went with a nude shirt underneath so that it gives the appearance that I'm not wearing anything and I liked how the cut of this tank is very low so that, again, it brings back a little femininity.I went with one of my favorite bags from sezane and my Steve Madden Chelsea booties. To finish up the look, I paired the coat with my black Levis wedgie fit jeans to give the appearance of a matching suit. I love how these jeans are slightly more straight legged as opposed to very skinny, again, this helps mimic the appearance of matching pants to my "suit".OUTFIT DETAILS: NEEDSUPPLY TRENCH (similar) // MANGO BELT // SEZANE BAG // STEVE MADDEN BOOTIES (similar) // URBAN OUTFITTERS UNDERSHIRT // LEVIS JEANS
Fall Uniform
One of the first things that I pull out every Fall season are my trench coats. Since it doesn't really get cold in Miami I tend to gravitate towards very flowy, light weight coats as opposed to regular coats. These kind of coats are so comfortable and literally go with everything, plus they kick every outfit up a notch. I paired it with my Hieleven bag (surprise, surprise) and some pointed flat mules.I know that these shoes are not everyone's cup of tea but after seeing this trend for a while now I finally gave in. I usually stay away from "unusual" trends... or trends that I'm not sure will stand the test of time but I really love the look of them so I just decided to get them & I'm glad I did. I don't know if I would drop $700 on Gucci loafers ( not saying never) but I do think that this style of shoe is very cool, interesting & a great alternative to regular flats. Plus, this particular pair is VERY comfortable and so easy to just slip on. I opted for a pointed loafer because I feel like a pointed toe is slightly more elegant and feminine than a regular flat.Lately, I've been loving everything vintage inspired so another trend that I've been in love with are cat-eye sunglasses. I think that they are just so flattering and lady-like. I put on liquid eyeliner ALL of the time because I just love how it elongates your eyes and just makes everything better, the same applies to cat-eye sunglasses... They give the appearance of elongated eyes and I just think they make you look more sophisticated.
And a "Fall Uniform"... or any seasonal uniform, just wouldn't be complete without some kind of vintage or vintage-looking jean. I have these in three colors already and I seriously cannot recommend them enough.

Fall Fashion Trends I'm Loving 2017
Whether it's a blazer, a coat, trousers, you name it! This pattern is everywhere this season and I absolutely love it!2. Cat Eye Sunglasses: Cat eye sunglasses were a big hit this summer and I think they are here to stay for the Fall, they definitely make you look much more feminine and sophisticated, not to mention, they kick any boring outfit up a notch.3. Camel Coat or TrenchThis is a staple in my closet, sure maybe not one as thick as this one, since I live in Miami, but something very similar to this, sleek in design and the perfect camel color.4. Thick Hoop Earrings Back in the day I use to own a huge collection of hoop earrings. Recently, I've been much more into studs and subtle pieces of jewelry but I think I need to get myself a pair of some thick hoop earrings similar to these. They would look so gorgeous with a tight, black turtle neck.5. Cashmere SweaterI feel like everyone needs at least one staple cashmere sweater in their collection. Doesn't necessarily need to be a turtle neck, I recently got this beautiful cashmere camel-colored crew neck that I know I'm going to be wearing to death this fall and winter.6. White Button-Down Another classic. I own about three white button-downs because I seriously wear them year round. During the summer I wear lighter, more sheer, white button-downs while in the fall or winter I opt for a thicker fabric.7. Pointed Sleek Ankle Boots I pull out my ankle boots every Fall and winter, they are another staple and I feel as though they will never really go out of style during this time of year. I absolutely love these by Acne.8. Wide Leg TrousersI've been on a serious wide-leg trouser kick this summer and I'm definitely planning on transitioning this trend into the fall and winter. I feel as though, if styled correctly, you can pull off pretty much any wide-leg trousers during this time of year. They just make everything look so much more elegant. Since I live in a warmer climate I can also get away with wearing more cropped wide legged trousers as well... or at least I am going to try my best to make it work lol9. Statement BagAny black leather or suede bag with some kind of statement hardware is my jam at the moment and I feel like it's going to be everywhere this fall and winter.10. Vintage DenimBeen wanting a pair or re/done jeans for a while now. Definitely doesn't have to be this pair but I'm loving vintage jeans that are not distressed paired with a plain or slogan tee, a blazer or coat, and some boots, sneakers or pointed flats.11. Flat Mules/Pointed Flats We've all seen the backless Gucci loafers everywhere since last year and while I absolutely love them I just feel as though a pointed toe makes everything look more feminine and elegant. Loving pointed loafers or pointed flats, backless or not, at the moment.
