Let's Talk Suede

I have an unhealthy obsession with suede. I wear something suede almost every day, I don't know what it is about the texture that seriously makes everything you pair with it look so much better. Granted, suede is not the most forgiving fabric, my favorite suede purses have given me headaches when ANY LITTLE THING falls or spills on it but I don't care, I love it & I will deal with it.
Now that my rant is over, here is my new fave skirt by NA-KD. I was looking for the perfect camel colored skirt & I kept coming across the button-down ones & even though those are great & I do own one in black-jean, I wanted something a bit more unique. This one spoke to me, I love the button detail paired with the zipper. It fits like a dream, very hight-waisted yet long enough for baby giraffes like myself andddd it's probably the easiest thing to take off & put back on + the zipper makes it SO easy to properly tuck your shirt in without being left with a weird bulge.
Fall Transition Pieces

Top: American apparel | Overalls: Madewell |
As I've mentioned millions of times in previous posts, my favorite/most worn pieces of clothing are the ones that I can wear over & over many different ways and not have to worry about the season, clothes that I can wear year round & just adjust according to the weather.
Miami doesn't necessarily have a significant change in seasons ( and by that I mean there is barely a change in season at all -.-) so I can probably get away with wearing certain things that most people who actually experience drastically cooler weather cannot but, for the most part, these are clothing items that I consider transitional from summer to fall.
In this post I only go through three out of four transition pieces. If you'd like to see the fourth one be sure to check out my accompanying lookbook video HERE
First, we have the off-the-shoulder top. Probably one of my favorite style of tops. Here, I paired it with some overalls from Madewell and some sneakers from adidas (not pictured ). Links are in captions

Dress: Oak & Fort | Trench Vest: Zara (old) | Boots: Steve Madden | Watch: Nicole Vienna |
Here, We have my favorite everyday dress. Here I paired it with a trench-vest but again, the possibilities are endless. I think sheer stockings would have also looked great or over-the-knee boots. I made a previous post dedicated to vests, be sure to check it out if you'd like links to vests similar to this one. HERE

Cami: Mango | Scarf: Zara (old) | Jeans: Madewell | Bomber: Brandy Melville |
Next we have my favorite weightless cami. Who says you can't wear your favorite cami year-round?
To be honest you can get away with wearing pretty much anything as long as you layer correctly.
Little Black Dress
Dress: Oak & Fort | Long Sleeve Shirt: Zara (old) | Purse: Sezane | Shoes: Converse | Watch: Danielle Wellington | Sunglasses: Crap Eyewear |
Little black dresses will never go out of style & they are one of my favorite transition pieces from summer to fall. My most worn clothing pieces are the ones that I don't have to think about, the ones that I can just throw on and go, this black dress being a perfect example. My favorite way to wear it is to tie a long sleeve around my waist to make the outfit look more interesting but the dress looks great by itself as well.
Trench Vest

Black Tee: Zara | Vest: Zara | Belt: Asos | Pants: Jcrew | Shoes: Asos | Sunglasses: Crap Eyewear | Watch: Larsson & Jennings | Bag: Everlane |
As I spoke about in my previous post, vests & sleeveless coats are one of my favorite trends for this fall season & although it's above 90 degrees in Miami currently, I couldn't help but pull this baby out. I purchased this "long waistcoat" at Zara last year so unfortunately they aren't currently selling it anymore but they always come out with the same silhouette or something very similar every year.
Vests give you the opportunity to layer without suffocating you. They scream fall but I'm not even wearing long sleeves. It works with literally anything & it makes the outfit much more interesting with little effort. Can't get enough of them.
The pants are the Jcrew minnie pant which i've had for years & still love, I'm not sure if they still have this particular style but I think THIS ONE is pretty similar.
The rest of the pieces are linked within the caption.
