Power Suit Trend
Not sure if you've noticed or not but menswear-inspired fashion is very on trend right now. While I do love the trend, I'm not entirely sure it's here to stay for a long time so I decided to go into my closet and replicate the look with some of my favorite pieces. It's difficult for me to find a blazer that I absolutely love because most of them either have shoulder padding, are too boxy or fall at an awkward length for me. I prefer long lined blazers that are a bit more fitted for a more feminine look. I use to own SO many blazers and I donated every single one of them so I am pretty hesitant to spend money on one that I'm not head over heals for, until then I will have to improvise.I used one of my favorite trench coats to get the look I was going for. I love the fact that this trench isn't stiff, it's very light and flowy so I can manipulate the shape and the sleeves to get whatever look I want.I feel as though belts at the waist are VERY hit or miss but I am obsessed with the way they look cinching oversized coats or blazers, I think that despite the coat being pretty masculine, the belt at the waist brings back that femininity and elegance. This belt actually isn't meant for the waist but I love the way it looks all twisted like so, I think it adds interest.I went with a nude shirt underneath so that it gives the appearance that I'm not wearing anything and I liked how the cut of this tank is very low so that, again, it brings back a little femininity.I went with one of my favorite bags from sezane and my Steve Madden Chelsea booties. To finish up the look, I paired the coat with my black Levis wedgie fit jeans to give the appearance of a matching suit. I love how these jeans are slightly more straight legged as opposed to very skinny, again, this helps mimic the appearance of matching pants to my "suit".OUTFIT DETAILS: NEEDSUPPLY TRENCH (similar) // MANGO BELT // SEZANE BAG // STEVE MADDEN BOOTIES (similar) // URBAN OUTFITTERS UNDERSHIRT // LEVIS JEANS
5 Fall Trends I'm Loving
Suede Skirt
I feel like this trend has stuck around from previous fall seasons and I personally cannot get enough of it. I've always been a big fan of suede & I wish I could wear it more often so I will definitely be taking advantage of this trend throughout fall & possibly winter since it doesn't really get cold in Miami. I really love this camel color but black and other Earthy tones look beautiful as well.

Sleeveless Coats / Long Vests
Obsessed with this trend & I feel like it's going to be even bigger than it was last Autumn. This is such a versatile piece. Perfect for transitioning into fall or for wearing throughout all of fall for those of us who live in warmer areas like myself. Although I do like the the drape-style sleeveless coat I'm really liking the more structured sleek black vests lately like this one pictured. Image from pinterest.
Long Sleeve Under Cami
Not sure if this trend is going to be as big as it was in the summer with the regular white tees under the camis but I for-one am definitely going to carry it into the fall by switching out the white tee to any type of long sleeve. I think it'll look great with turtle necks as well. Another option is to wear a cami-dress under a long sleeve paired with sheer stockings and boots or just sneakers.
Tucked in Blouses
Not just blouses,.. sweaters, turtle necks, sweatshirts, you name it. I'm really loving how tucked in long sleeves look paired with high-wasited vintage jeans & I feel like it's going to be a go-to for me this Fall. Image credit
Suede Bags
Chloe's Faye bag is all-the-rage right now & I honestly cannot blame anyone. I'm not much of a bag lover nor am I at a place right now to be dropping 2k on a bag but if I were to splurge on a bag, I definitely wouldn't mind splurging on this baby. I think the design is simple enough but still makes a statement & I really don't see this bag going out of style any time soon. Every single color/style/size is STUNNING, as are most Chloe bags. Now, if you're like me and don't want to spend that much money on a bag there are plenty of other suede bags that are beautiful (maybe not AS beautiful, but still beautiful) lol. I recently purchased this one from Sezane & I am in LOVE.
